Marist Begins Indoor Track Season Saturday

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The indoor track & field season begins for Marist on Saturday, as the Red Foxes will compete in the Jay Carisella Invitational in Boston, Mass. It is the only meet Marist will compete in during the 2012 calendar year, and is the first of nine the Red Foxes will participate in this season.

Marist will return to action on Friday, Jan. 11 at the Gotham Cup, held at the Armory in New York City. The Red Foxes will head back to the venue on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the NYU Team Challenge.

On Friday, Jan. 25, split squads for the men and women will run at the Met Championships at the Armory, while the remainder of the teams will head to Boston for the Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25-26. After a return trip to the Armory for the New Balance Invitational on Feb. 1-2, and another trek to Boston for the Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8-9, the Red Foxes will compete in the MAAC Championships at the Armory on Friday, Feb. 15. Qualifiers will then head to the IC4A and ECAC Championships in Boston on March 2-3.
