EDISON, N.J. - Junior Bonnie Orr (Fresno, Calif.) and sophomore Kimberly Tobias (San Jose, Calif.) were recognized by the MAAC in the conference's weekly award announcement for their performances versus Rider this past weekend.

In Marist's home meet versus the MAAC preseason number two Rider Bronc squad on Saturday, Nov. 17, Orr was the top performing Red Fox swimmer with three wins, all of which came with season-best times. Her day began with a decisive win in the 1000-yd freestyle with a time of 10:33.22. With just over 10 minutes to recuperate after her initial distance win, Orr was back in the pool and victorious again in the 200-yd freestyle as she won by nearly three seconds at 1:55.55. The junior's third win came in the 500-yd freestyle as she held off freshman teammate Bethany Powhida with a winning time of 5:11.59.

On the other end of the natatorium, Tobias led a strong showing by the Red Foxes' diving team. Her day began with a victory in the one-meter board at 268.87 points and capped it with a win in the three-meter board at 279.75.

These are the ninth and 10th weekly awards for the swimming and diving program in four weeks of action. Individually, this is Tobias' eighth career honor, while Orr is a first-time honoree.

The Red Foxes will be back in the pool on Friday, Nov. 30 at the two-day H20unds Invitational hosted by Loyola.
