POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - A three-sack performance at Campbell has earned Marist senior defensive end Terrence Fede (Nyack, N.Y.) Pioneer Football League (PFL) Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Fede finished with six total tackles, and his sacks resulted in a loss of 30 yards in the Red Foxes' 28-7 triumph on Saturday. All three of his sacks came in the first half, and two ended drives, with one coming on fourth down and another coming on the final play of the half. He also added three assists on running plays. One resulted in no gain, and the other came at the Marist one-yard line on a third-and-goal play from the two.

On the season, Fede leads Marist with eight sacks and 11.5 tackles for losses. This is his second career weekly honor from the PFL, as he was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week after a three-sack game against Drake on Oct. 29, 2012.

This is the third PFL weekly award earned by the Red Foxes this season. Fifth-year senior wide receiver Michael Rios (Miami, Fla.) was named Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 23, and sophomore safety Zach Adler (Walden, N.Y.) was honored as Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 28.

Marist stands at 4-6 overall and 3-4 in PFL play. The Red Foxes' season will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 1, when they host San Diego. This contest is a makeup game from Nov. 3, and tickets from that date will be honored at this game. For further information, contact the Marist Ticket Office at (845) 575-3553.
