The Marist Men's Basketball team will head to Colgate for a non-conference matchup with the Raiders on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. This a rematch of last season's 81-73 Red Fox home victory.

Marist vs. Colgate ...

The Red Foxes are 8-2 all-time versus the Raiders as a Division 1 program.

Marist has secured victories in their past five matchups with Colgate.

Three of their meetings were in past Pepsi Marist Classic games and a fourth was a Bracketbuster game.

Red Foxes & Raiders: Nov. 26, 2011 ...

The Marist men's basketball team (2-4) earned its first home win of the young season behind a career game from Chavaughn Lewis. The freshman scored 23 points, as well as registered five steals, three rebounds and two assists in the Red Foxes' 81-73 victory.

Taking control of the opening tip, the Red Foxes never looked back after netting the first two points of the game and led the entire contest versus Colgate (2-3).

Marist vs. Patriot League ...

The Red Foxes have an all-time record of 29-21 versus current Patriot League members: 8-2 vs. Colgate, 9-4 vs. Army, 5-2 vs. Lafayette, 3-4 vs. Bucknell, 2-1 vs. American, 2-3 vs. Holy Cross, 0-5 vs. Lehigh and 0-0 vs. Navy.

Last Time Out: Nov. 9 vs. Stony Brook ...

Marist fell in a hard-fought home non-conference game versus Stony Brook, 60-57 in the team's season opener.

A tight game throughout, the contest was never more than two possessions apart over the final 16 minutes of the second half.

An 8-1 second half Red Fox run would give the home team its first lead on a Chavaughn Lewis jump-shot to give Marist the 52-51 advantage with 3:57 left in regulation.

Jay Bowie led a group of four Red Foxes in double figures with 16 points.

Adam Kemp was close behind with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

In his first collegiate start, T.J. Curry finished with seven points, while dishing out eight assists and picking up three steals.

Scouting Colgate ...

The Raiders come into Wednesday's game with an 0-2 record following back-to-back losses to BCS schools, Illinois 75-55 and Marquette 84-63.

Colgate is led by Murphy Burnatowski, a senior transfer from the University of Maine. Through two games, he's averaging 23.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Pat Moore is the Raiders only other double-figure scorer at 11.5 points per game. Luke Roh averages 4.0 assists per game as a starting guard.
