POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Sophomore running back Max Jacques (Salem, N.H.) of the Marist football team has been named a CoSIDA/Capital One First Team All-District selection.

Jacques is coming off back-to-back 100-yard rushing games against Valparaiso (128 yards) and Dayton (102). He tied a school record for longest run with a 96-yard touchdown at Valparaiso, and had a 76-yard touchdown against Dayton.

On the season, Jacques leads the Red Foxes with five rushing touchdowns and 6.0 yards per carry. He is also second on the team with 435 rushing yards.

Jacques is a Communications major who was selected to the Pioneer Football League (PFL) Academic Honor Roll last season. By earning Academic All-District honors, Jacques is now eligible to be selected to the CoSIDA/Capital One All-America Team, which will be released on Thursday, Dec. 6.

Marist will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 17, when the Red Foxes travel to Campbell for a PFL contest. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
