Menís Tennis Goes 5-0 Saturday At Columbia Classic

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Marist tennis team had a perfect 5-0 day in singles' action on Saturday at the Columbia Fall Classic.

Dalen Klassen (St. Louis, Mo.) won 6-2, 6-2 against his opponent from NJIT to advance to the semifinals of Flight "B". Similarly, Joseph Dube (Livonia, Mich.) beat his adversary from Farleigh Dickinson 7-6, 6-1 to advance to the final four in Flight "C"

 Lorenzo Rossi (Lugano, Switzerland), Joris Van Eck (The Ospel, Netherlands) and Joe Motta all advanced the semifinals of their respective back-draws.

"I am elated to have two players playing in the semifinals of their respective singles flights at a very competitive Columbia Fall Classic," Marist Head Coach Tim Smith said.

Play wraps up with semfinals and finals action on Sunday.
