This Weekend's Games:

The Marist men's soccer team will be starting its MAAC schedule this weekend when Manhattan and Saint Peter's come to Poughkeepsie.

Last Meetings:

In 2011, the Red Foxes split their meetings with Saint Peter's and Manhattan; winning an overtime thriller against Saint Peter's by a score of 3-2, while suffering a one-goal loss to Manhattan, 1-0.

On Oct. 21, Marist travelled to Jersey City and met a game Peacock squad, who battled for over 103 minutes before Krystian Witkowski took an Anthony Rozmus pass and beat the Saint Peter's goalkeeper at 103:15. Dylan Lee scored the first goal of the game for Marist; it was a notable score as it was the first of his career.

On Oct. 23, the Red Foxes and Jaspers met at Gaelic Park and fought to a 1-0 decision in favor of the hosts. Manhattan made its 60th minute goal stand up as Marist outshot them 22-8 and 6-3 in shots on goal.

Scouting Manhattan:

Manhattan comes into MAAC play with a 0-7-1 record, though as of late the team has drawn or lost each of its last four games by one goal. The Jaspers, who have been outscored 23-5 on the year, will rely  on the offense provided by Tommy Amos (2G). Naru Park, Eugene Heerschap, and Alex Shackley have each scored a goal in for the Jaspers as well. In the goal, George Ellis has seen the majority of the action and has posted a 2.58 GAA and a .654 save percentage.

Scouting Saint Peter's:

Marist will be Saint Peter's second MAAC game of the year following a game at Siena for the Peacocks.  Coming into the weekend, Saint Peter's has a 2-7 record. Losers of six straight games and four consecutive one-goal contests, the Peacocks are led by Noah Sadaoui, who has scored the 14th-most goals in Division 1 with seven. Jake Pounce is the team's leader in assists as he has three helpers on the season. In goal, Carlos Suarez has started all nine games and posted a 2.02 GAA and .727 save percentage.
