CLEVELAND, Ohio - Seven members of the Marist football team were named Preseason All-Pioneer Football League (PFL) by Phil Steele Publications. Senior offensive lineman Phede Celestin (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and senior defensive end Terrence Fede (Nyack, N.Y.) were First Team honorees.

A total of five Red Foxes - fifth-year senior wide receiver Michael Rios (Miami, Fla.), senior tight end Anthony Calcagni (Thornwood, N.Y.), junior linebacker Paul Sakowski (Chester, N.Y.), senior safety Nick Mainiero (Croton, N.Y.), and senior kicker Jason Myers (Chula Vista, Calif.) - were named to the Second Team.

Celestin, Fede, Calcagni, and Mainiero were also named to the PFL's Preseason All-League team, which was released on July 31.

The Marist football team reported for preseason camp today. The Red Foxes will be taking part in on-field testing and drills for two days, and will hold their first official practice on Friday at North Field at 3:30 p.m. Marist begins the 2012 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 with a non-league game at Bryant.
