SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently announced its team and individual award winners for academic achievement. Individually, recent graduate Matt Himmelsbach (Longmeadow, Mass.), rising senior Joris Van Eck (Ospel, Netherlands), rising junior Jacob Solly (Sydney, Australia) and rising sophomore Joseph Dube (Livonia, Mich.) were honored.

Himmelsbach, Van Eck and Solly are all multi-year award recipients. Himmelsbach is a four-time honoree, while van Eck and Solly are two-time winners.

The 2012 regular season MAAC champion, the Red Foxes earned the team honor for the third time in four years for maintaining a minimum of a 3.2 cumulative GPA. To receive individual recognition, players were required to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA. Marist was one of only two MAAC schools to be recognized in both the team and individual categories.
