Women's Soccer Offering Four Camp & Clinic Options This June, July & August

The Marist women's soccer program is pleased to announce that it will be hosting multiple sessions of summer clinic and camps during the months of June, July and August. Under the guidance of second-year head coach Kate Lyn, there will be a Prospect Clinic; June 3, a month-long set of Training Clinics; six sessions June 5-21, two Girls Only camps; June 25-29 and July 30-August 3 and two Prospect Camps; July 13-15 and August 3-5.

The Prospect Clinic takes a personal and individual interest in the development of the high school athlete with an interest in playing soccer at the collegiate level. Our objective is to provide each individual with an enjoyable and competitive soccer environment, and to understand the training principles of a Division I Women's Soccer Program.

This one-day clinic will run from 12 pm to 4 pm on Sunday June 3. The cost will be $65 per person.

CLINIC SCHEDULE

12:00 - 12:15 PM Check In at Tenney Stadium

12:15 - 1:15 PM Small Sided Games

1:20 - 1:45 PM Speed and Agility Training

1:45 - 2:30 PM Attacking Principles

2:30 - 3:55 PM 11 v 11

3:55 - 4:00 PM Closing Remarks

The Training Clinics will provide high school athletes (grades 9-12) with a Division 1 level training environment. The training clinics will give participants a chance to experience the caliber of training that goes into a day of practice at the collegiate level.

Run on a Tuesday and Thursday schedule, the clinics will be held on June 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th and 21st from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to athletes between the grades of 9 and 12. The clinics are open to individual athletes or entire teams. The costs for individual participants are $30 per session or $150 for all six dates. For teams, the costs are $100 per training session or $500 for all six days. Training dates are non-refundable and must be paid in full by first day of training, June 5th.

The Girls Only Camp will teach its participants about the game, understanding the importance of teamwork and to value competition in a healthy and positive manner. The two sessions are open to campers between the ages of 6 (U7) and 13 (U14). The camps will run Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3 pm, except for Friday when the session is released at 12-noon.

The cost of the camp will be $300 per person. Families with two or more sisters attending can take advantage of a $30 per camper discount; however, this discount does not apply to those entering ninth grade because of NCAA regulations. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due by June 15th for each athlete participating. Checks can be made payable to Marist College Women's Soccer. Full payment is due at check-in.

9 a.m. - Arrival on Tenney Stadium
9:30 a.m. - Orientation, warm-up
10 a.m. - Skills and ball work
11 a.m. - Small-sided games
Noon - Lunch in Cafeteria
12:45 p.m. - Teamwork Challenge
1:30 p.m. - League Games
2:45 p.m. - Cool Down/Team Talk
3 p.m. - Dismissal (Friday Dismissal at noon) from Tenney Stadium

(Each camper must bring her own ball, cleats, sneakers, water bottle, and lunch. Lunch will take place in the cafeteria except for Friday. Campers will get GO Camp T-Shirts prior to last day dismissal).

The Prospect Camp is an extension of the clinic over a three-day period. Our objective is to provide each individual with an enjoyable and competitive soccer environment through an intense schedule of games and instruction. In addition to field instruction, the overnight camp offers a range of soccer-related activities, such as lectures on conditioning, nutrition, and college options, all contributing to the development of a well-rounded soccer athlete. Overnight campers will be housed in student residence halls, and meals are served at the Marist Cafeteria, to truly experience college life. Campers are supervised by coaches and counselors also staying in the residence halls. Roommate preferences will be accommodated whenever possible, but cannot be guaranteed. If no roommate is requested, roommates will be assigned according to age.

The cost of the camp will be $350 per person. A $75 non-refundable deposit and application are due by July 6th. Please make checks payable to Marist College Women's Soccer. Applications will not be accepted after this date. There is a maximum number of participants allowed due to limited housing. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Full payment is due at check-in.
