FORDHAM, N.Y. - The Marist men's tennis team won their seventh straight match Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match against Fordham of the Atlantic 10.

Marist (13-5, 6-0 MAAC) swept all three doubles matches to take the point before dropping the first two singles matches. Will Reznek (Toronto, Canada), Joseph Dube (Livonia, Mich.), Dalen Klassen (St. Louis, Mo.) and Billy Bishop (Houston, Texas) all won at the 3-6 singles positions to give the win to Marist.

The wins at singles and doubles by Klassen pushed him to a perfect 9-0 in the Red Foxes past five matches. He was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week on Tuesday.

"This was a good win for us against a good Atlantic 10 team," Marist head coach Tim Smith said. "I was really pleased with all of our doubles teams and I think after eight months we finally have got a doubles combination that is really clicking."

The Red Foxes will finish up the regular season with two matches this weekend, starting with a road match at Hartford on Sunday. They will then celebrate Senior Day on Monday, April 23 with a home match versus Army scheduled for 3 p.m.
