Canisius would answer within the next minute, however, to go back up by two but goals from Procaccini and Kramer within the next five minutes would knot the score up 8-8.
The two teams would then go scoreless for almost nine minutes before Canisius took the lead. Marist had a quick answer with a goal from Condon, her 7th of the year, but once again Canisius answered with a goal within the next minute to re-take the lead.
Over the next 13 minutes of play, Marist would outscore the Golden Griffins 4-0 thanks to two goals from Romano, as well as goals from Kramer and Leonard.
