BEAUMONT, TEXAS - The Marist men's tennis team dropped a tough 4-3 decision at Lamar Thursday night, falling in the final match of the day. With the score tied at three-all, Lamar took the point from the fourth singles position to seal the win.

Joseph Dube (Livonia, Mich.) and Dalen Klassen (St. Louis, Mo.) won at the fifth and sixth singles positions, respectively. Marist also swept the doubles point with the combinations of Lorenzo Rossi (Lugano, Switzerland) and Matt Himmelsbach (Longmeadow, Mass.), Joris Van Eck (Ospel, The Netherlands) and Will Reznek (Toronto, Canada) and Klassen and Billy Bishop (Houston, Texas) all defeated their respective opponents.

The Red Foxes play their first MAAC match of the spring when they play at Saint Peter's on Wednesday, March 21. Marist opened conference play in the fall with a win at Siena.
