LAFAYETTE, La. - The Marist men's tennis team continued their spring break road trip Tuesday, falling to a very tough University of Louisiana-Lafayette 7-0.

The Red Foxes played tough, as Will Reznek (Toronto, Canada) and Joseph Dube (Livonia, Mich.) took their opponents to a decisive third set in their respective singles matches. Additionally, Matt Himmelsbach (Longmeadow, Mass.) forced his opponent at the third singles position deep into each set.

The duo of Reznek and Lorenzo Rossi (Lugano, Switzerland) forced a tiebreaker in their doubles match.

"I am very proud of our team!" head coach Tim Smith said. "Although we came up on the short end, we battled the 48th-ranked team in the country for four hours. We really played them well in all positions."

The Red Foxes wrap up their trip on Thursday with a match at Lamar. They will then dip into conference play next Wednesday, March 21 with a match at Saint Peter's.
