POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist women's basketball team will hold its 2012 NCAA Selection Show viewing party on Monday, March 12 at Shadows on the Hudson in Poughkeepsie starting at 6:30 p.m. The selection show will air on ESPN beginning at 7 p.m. as the Red Foxes will learn their NCAA Tournament seed, opponent and First Round site location. The event is free and open to the public.

The Marist women's basketball team won its seventh straight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship on Monday afternoon with a 61-35 triumph over the second-seeded Fairfield Stags at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass. Senior Corielle Yarde (Reading, Pa.) was named the Tournament MVP, after scoring a game-high 16 points and adding seven rebounds during the championship game. She was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Brandy Gang (Hartville, Ohio) and Casey Dulin (Milford, Conn.). Marist will enter the NCAA Tournament on a 10-game winning streak and an overall record of 25-7. This victory also marked Head Coach Brian Giorgis' 250th career win.

Marist's official NCAA Tournament T-shirt will be available for sale at Shadows during the Selection Show. Marist's travel agent will also be on hand to assist fans with travel packages to the NCAA Tournament First Round site.
