EDISON, N.J. - Marist men's tennis sophomore Will Reznek (Toronto, Canada) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week on Tuesday. It is the second straight week a Red Fox has won the award as senior Matt Himmelsbach (Longmeadow, Mass.) earned the honor last week.

Reznek was instrumental for the Red Foxes this past weekend, going 3-0 in singles matches to lead Marist to a 2-1 weekend at the Yale Invitational. His comeback victory, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, at the fourth singles position against Stony Brook started a massive comeback that saw the Red Foxes come back from a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3. Marist pulled off the same feat against Farleigh Dickinson, in large part to Reznek's individual win, again at the fourth singles slot. He provided the lone singles win for the Red Foxes against Yale of the powerful Ivy League, 7-6, 4-6, 10-7. He also won a doubles match 8-2, in the match against Farleigh Dickinson.

This is the second weekly award for Reznek in his career as he earned Player of the Week honors once last season in his freshman campaign on his way to being named to the All-MAAC First Team.

Marist is back in action starting next Sunday, March 11 when they begin their spring break trip with a dual match at Prairie View A&M. Their road trip will also include matches at Louisiana-Lafayette on March 13 and Lamar on March 15.
