STORRS, CONN. - The Marist men's tennis team wrapped up play Sunday at the Yale Invitational, splitting two non-conference dual matches with Yale and Farleigh Dickinson. The Red Foxes fell to the host Bulldogs 6-1 in a match that was continued from Saturday before defeating the Knights 4-3.

Marist had to come from behind for a second straight day as they fell behind 3-0 in the match versus Farleigh Dickinson, losing the doubles and top two singles slots. Joris Van Eck (Ospel, The Netherlands) defeated his adversary at the third singles position 6-4, 6-3. Will Reznek (Toronto, Canada) also won, leading 6-1 when his opponent retired in the second set. Dalen Klassen (St. Louis, Mo.) and Joseph Dube (Livonia, Mich.) completed the comeback, winning at the fifth and sixth spots.

Earlier in the day, Reznek won a hard match in three sets 7-6, 4-6, 10-7 and Klassen and Billy Bishop (Houston, Texas) took their doubles match 8-6, but it was not enough as the Red Foxes fell to Yale.

The team is back in action starting next Sunday, March 11 when they begin their spring break trip with a dual match at Prairie View A&M. Their road trip will also include matches at Louisiana-Lafayette on March 13 and Lamar on March 15.
