Marist Baseball Well Represented In Summer League Action
POUGHKEEPSIE – A total of 18 Marist baseball players are competing in a combined eight leagues this summer.
Six Red Foxes who will be sophomores next year are playing in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League: right-handed pitchers Ryan Thomas and Sean Keenan (Trenton Generals), outfielder Tyler Kirkpatrick and infielder Ben Moller (Quakertown Blazers), infielder Greg Kocinski (Jersey Pilots) and right-handed pitcher Stephen Priolo (South Jersey Giants).
Three are competing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Rising junior outfielder Matt Pagano and rising senior left-hander Rich Vrana are members of the Sanford Mariners, and rising senior first baseman Steve Laurino is playing for the Mystic Schooners.
Rising junior second baseman Joey Aiola (Amsterdam Mohawks) and rising senior right-hander Evan Davis (Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs) are both taking part in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.
Rising sophomore pitcher Erik Bauer is playing for the Boca Raton Lightning of the Florida Collegiate Baseball League. Rising junior first baseman Anthony Hamlin, a native of Tampa, is also playing his summer ball in Florida with the Orlando Monarchs of the Futures League. Rising junior outfielder Graham McIntire is a member of the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Outfielder Jamari Moore, who will be entering his sophomore season, is playing for the Pineville Pioneers of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League.
