BUFFALO, New York - The Marist men’s swimming and diving team sits in fifth place with 64 points after the first night of the 2017 MAAC Championships.

After placing third in the preliminary round, junior Peter Gallino took second place in the finals of the 1-meter dive with 288.15 points. He got straight sevens from the judges on one of his dives. Freshman Raislan Aiken wasn’t far behind, ranking fourth in the both the preliminaries and finals (279.55 points).

The 200-yard medley relay squad of junior Robert McDowell, sophomore Mark Miller, senior Manuel Garcia and sophomore Daniel Knoll clocked in at 1:31.66 for third place.
