Track Terrence Fede & Jason Myers in the NFL

In 2015, two former Marist football players will be on NFL rosters. Terrence Fede is in his second year as a defensive end with the Miami Dolphins, and Jason Myers is in his first year as the Jacksonville Jaguars' place-kicker.

A closer look at how each got to the NFL:

Terrence Fede

  • Marist's first NFL draft choice (7th round, 234th overall pick by Miami in 2014).
  • Became first ex-Marist football player to play in NFL game (Sept. 28, 2014 vs. Oakland).
  • Blocked punt for game-winning safety vs. Minnesota, Dec. 21, 2014.
  • Marist's all-time single-season & career sacks leader.
  • PFL Defensive Player of the Year & Buck Buchanan award finalist, 2013.
  • Played at Marist from 2009-13.

Jason Myers

  • Signed free-agent contract with Jacksonville, March 3, 2015.
  • Marist's all-time leader in points by a kicker & longest field goal.
  • Played at Marist from 2009-12.

According to ESPN.com, Fede and Myers were the only two players from any Pioneer Football League school on an NFL opening-day roster this season.

This page will update performances for both Fede and Myers all season.

Week 1

Miami at Washington (Sunday, Sept. 13)

  • Fede: four tackles, two assists.
  • One tackle came for a loss of yardage.

Carolina at Jacksonville (Sunday, Sept. 13)

  • Myers 1-for-2 FG (made 22, missed 44), 0-for-1 PAT.
  • All three kickoffs went for touchbacks.

Week 2

Miami at Jacksonville (Sunday, Sept. 20)

  • First meeting between two Marist football players in history.
  • Fede: one tackle.
  • Myers: 3-for-3 FG (27, 58, 28), 2-for-2 PAT. Game-winning 28-yarder with 40 seconds reamining. Three touchbacks in five kickoffs; other two were returned from the end zone.

Week 3

Jacksonville at New England (Sunday, Sept. 27)

  • Myers 1-for-1 FG (40), 2-for-2 PAT.
  • All four kickoffs went for touchbacks.

Buffalo at Miami (Sunday, Sept. 27)

  • Fede: one assisted tackle.
  • One tackle came for a loss of yardage.

Week 4

N.Y. Jets vs. Miami in London, England (Sunday, Oct. 4)

  • Fede: did not record statistics.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis (Sunday, Oct. 4)

  • Myers: 2-for-4 FG (made: 20, 32; missed: 53, 48), 1-for-1 PAT.
  • One of four kickoffs went for touchbacks (two returned from the end zone).

Week 5

Jacksonville at Tampa Bay (Sunday, Oct. 11)

  • Myers: 1-for-1 FG (31), 4-for-4 PAT.
  • Four of six kickoffs went for touchbacks. One was an onside kick attempt, and one went out of bounds.

Miami bye week

Week 6

Miami at Tennessee (Sunday, Oct. 18)

  • Fede: Two tackles.

Houston at Jacksonville (Sunday, Oct. 18)

  • Myers: 2-for-3 PAT.
  • Two of four kickoffs went for touchbacks. One was an onside kick attempt.

Week 7

Buffalo vs. Jacksonville in London, England (Sunday, Oct. 25)

  • Myers: 4-for-5 PAT.
  • Two of his six kickoffs went for touchbacks.

Houston at Miami (Sunday, Oct. 25)

  • Fede: Two tackles (one solo). Solo tackle was a running play for no gain.
