POUGHKEEPSIE – The Marist Athletics Department released the 2015 schedule for the football team on Tuesday. The Red Foxes will play a total of 11 games, including five at Tenney Stadium.

“We're excited about facing a challenging schedule with quality non-league opponents and great competition within the league,” Head Coach Jim Parady said.

Marist will begin the season with three consecutive non-league games. The Red Foxes will open with back-to-back road games against Bucknell (Saturday, Sept. 5) and Georgetown (Saturday, Sept. 12). Marist's home opener will be against Sacred Heart on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The Red Foxes will open Pioneer Football League play the following week, when they host Jacksonville on Saturday, Sept. 26 as part of Homecoming Weekend. October begins with back-to-back road games in successive weeks against San Diego (Saturday, Oct. 3) and Campbell (Saturday, Oct. 10). Following a bye week, Marist will play its third straight road game against Davidson (Saturday, Oct. 24).

The season concludes with three home games in a span of four weeks. Marist will host Butler (Saturday, Oct. 31) and Stetson (Sunday, Nov. 7) in back-to-back games. The Red Foxes will then travel to Dayton (Saturday, Nov. 14) before closing out the regular season against Morehead State (Saturday, Nov. 21).

Game times will be released at a later date.

The 2015 season will mark Marist's seventh as a member of the Pioneer Football League. The Red Foxes won the league's co-championship in 2013. Last season, Marist went 4-7 overall and 4-4 in PFL play, with wins in four of its last six games.
