Saturday's Marist-San Diego Football Game Postponed

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Marist's Pioneer Football League (PFL) home game against San Diego, set for Saturday at 4 p.m., has been postponed. The teams will attempt to make up the game on Saturday, Dec. 1 at a time to be determined.

"Due to the devastating impact of Hurricane Sandy throughout the East Coast and the resulting cancellation of flights, the University of San Diego football team is unable to travel to Marist College this weekend," said PFL Commissioner Patty Viverito. "Consequently, the Pioneer Football League game between USD and Marist scheduled on Saturday, November 3rd has been cancelled. Both schools are working diligently to try to reschedule the game for Saturday, December 1st. A decision will be made on this matter as expeditiously as possible."

The next scheduled game for Marist (3-5 overall, 2-3 PFL) will be on Saturday, Nov. 10 when the Red Foxes host Dayton. Kickoff is set for noon, which will be preceded by Senior Day ceremonies.

Tickets for the game originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3 against San Diego will now be honored on Saturday, Dec. 1.
