Marist Men's Cross Country Remains Regionally Ranked

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist men's cross country team is ranked 14th in the Northeast Region in the final regular-season U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Regional Rankings.

The Red Foxes, who were ranked #13 in the poll's previous release, are coming off a second-place finish at Saturday's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships. Marist placed second at the event for the eighth consecutive year, trailing only Iona, which is currently ranked (GET!) nationally.

Senior Arquimedes DelaCruz (Wantagh, N.Y.) and junior Ken Walshak (Babylon, N.Y.) were named All-MAAC by finishing 10th and 12th, respectively. DelaCruz became just the third runner in program history to be named All-MAAC all four years of his career.

The Marist men's cross country team will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 9 at the NCAA Regional Meet, which will be held at Hammonasset State Park in Madison, Conn.
