Omar Sandimanie was named Coordinator of Club Sports, Intramurals and Camps in Februrary, 2014.
Previously, Sandimanie served as the Facilities and Operations Assistant at Marist. His responsibilities included assisting the Associate AD for Facilities and Operations in overseeing all aspects of the daily operations of Marist athletic facilities and providing site administration for any and all home athletic events.
Prior to working at Marist, Sandimanie served as an Athletic Administrator at CUNY-Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. As Athletic Administrator, his main duties included overseeing the daily operations of the college's 13 NCAA Division III sports, managing, overseeing and scheduling for the colleges athletic facilities, event manager for home athletic events, and scheduling of games and practices for the different varsity sports.
Sandimanie received his Bachelor's degree at from the University at Albany in May 2011. There he served as the Manager and Student Assistant Coach for the Women's Volleyball Team under Head Coach MJ Engstrom. He helped the Great Danes capture 2 America East Regular Season Championships, 1 America East Championship and a berth to the NCAA Tournament First Round (2010). Also at UAlbany, Sandimanie was the President and Head Coach of the Men's Club Volleyball team, and led the program to numerous EIVA divisional championships and national recognition while winning many individual awards.
Sandimanie is an active member of USAVolleyball and competed in the 2012 USAV Open National Championships held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sandimanie, a native of Rosedale (Queens), NY, now resides in Poughkeepsie.
