Prior to Marist: Interscholastically, she was a two-time Section 2 Champion in the 500-yd freestyle, while earning the 200-yd crown once ... The Section 2 MVP in 2010 ... Powhida was the Eagles' captain during her senior year ... Five times, she competed at the New York State Youth Championship ... For club swimming, she swam with the Delmar Dolfins where she left holding six program records.
