POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Marist College Head Swimming Coach Larry VanWagner announced on Tuesday the swimming and diving team captains for the upcoming 2012-13 season. From the women's squad seniors Kate Conard (East Setauket, N.Y.) and Erica Vitale (Sterling, Conn.) will provide leadership both in and out of the pool, while seniors Samuel Nowack (Middletown, Conn.), Brian Shannon (Baldwin, N.Y.) and junior Sean Molloy (Slingerlands, N.Y.) will do the same for the men.

Conard and Vitale will captain a women's team that is the three-time defending MAAC Champion and runner-up of the 2012 ECAC Championships.

Nowack, a returning captain, will team with Shannon and Molloy to lead a young and improving men's squad that finished third in the 2012 MAAC Championships.

Both teams are coming off of successful regular seasons, as well, as the women won a program record 11 dual meets, while the men earned five victories.
