POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - In the final CollegeSwimming.com/CSCAA
Mid-Major Division 1 Poll that was recently released, both Marist swimming and diving
squads made the rankings in the receiving votes section. The women's team,
coming off their 13th MAAC Championship in the program's history,
accumulated 230.87 points to finish 13.98 points out of the 25th
position. On the men's side, they finished with 217.71 points, 5.43 out of 25th.
With the end of competitions throughout the NCAA Division 1
level, the final rankings for top times have also been released. Kate Conard (East
Setauket, N.Y.) placed within the top 100 athletes in the 1000-yard freestyle
with a time of 10:06.07, ranking 89th overall. She also was ranked
amongst the top 300 in the 200-, 500- and 1650-yd freestyles, ranking 274th,
204th and 106th respectively. Michelle Fountain
(Sayville, N.Y.) also placed within the top 300 in the 500-yard freestyle,
placing 290th with a time of 4:55.65.
Greta Leberfinger's (Chatham, N.J.) time of 1:02.17 in the 100-yard
breast positioned her inside the top 100 Division 1 athletes at 98th.
She also placed within the top 200 in the 200-yard breaststroke, with a time of
2:17.06. The 400-yd freestyle relay team of Maddie Arciello (Missoula, Mont.),
Emily Miles (Long Valley, N.J.), Fountain and Conard finished amongst the
hierarchy of Division 1 with a time of 3:26.67, placing 103rd.
Jason Ruddy's (Lake Katrine, N.Y.) time of 1:49.40 in the
200-yard fly was ranked inside the top 200, at number 171 in Division 1. Bill
Drennen (Collegeville, Pa.) finished within the top 325 in the 1000-yd and
1650-yd freestyles, placing 173rd and 313th respectively
on the Division 1 level.
