POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Marist football team will hold its annual Spring Game on Friday at 7 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. The contest will wrap up Spring Practice as the Red Foxes prepare for the 2012 season.
The format will be that of a regular game, with 15-minute quarters and regular timing rules. Kickoffs will only be held at the beginning of each half, as after each score, the receiving team will begin drives at its own 30-yard line.
The teams were picked in a draft held on Thursday. The Red Team was selected by captains Chuckie Looney and Nick Mainiero, and the White Team was chosen by captains Mike Hagemann and Tyler Ramsey.
A free audio broadcast of the game will be available on GoRedFoxes.com. John Enright will have the play-by-play, and will be joined on color commentary by two members of this past year's Marist football senior class - offensive lineman Stephen Carretta and cornerback Jaquan Bryant. The pregame show will begin at 6:50 p.m.
The Marist football team will begin its 2012 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Bryant. The Red Foxes will begin their five-game home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 8 against Bucknell.
