Marist Men's Cross Country Ranked #15 In Northeast

NEW ORLEANS - The Marist men's cross country team is ranked 15th in the Northeast Region in the most recent release of the NCAA Division I U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Regional Rankings.

The Red Foxes finished second at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships, which were held on Friday, Oct. 28 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The Marist runners - senior William Griffin (Columbia, Conn.), senior Matthew Flint (Queensbury, N.Y.) and junior Arquimedes DelaCruz (Wantagh, N.Y.) - earned All-MAAC honors by finishing sixth, seventh and eighth in the race, respectively. Griffin's time of 25:03.4 was the second-fastest ever posted by a Marist runner at Van Cortlandt Park.

Marist will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 12 at the NCAA Regional meet, which will be held in Buffalo.
