Red Fox Trot 5K Race/Walk
The Red Fox Trot 5K race is an annual event held in September on the Marist campus. The inaguaral event was held in September of 2010 and has received great interest from the Hudson River Valley community. The race is sponsored by the Red Fox Club in conjunction with the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club. Runners receive an official Marist Red Fox Trot 5K shirt and two tickets to a Marist home football game for participating in the race.
All proceeds from the race directly benefit the 23 Division I athletic programs at Marist College.
Course
The race course, designed by Marist Director of Men's and Women's Cross Country Pete Colaizzo, is contained completely on the campus of Marist College. The race starts and finishes on the east bank of the Hudson River at Marist's Historic Cornell Boathouse. The challenging route incorporates both the west and east sides of the Marist campus. Runners enter the east side of campus by way of the Route 9 Pedestrian Walkway, a unique characteristic to any 5K in the area.
