2011-12: MAAC Champion 200-Yard Butterfly ... MAAC Swimmer of the Week: Nov. 22 and Jan. 31 ... Completed a record-breaking season for the Red Foxes as a freshman ... Won a MAAC title in the 200-yd butterfly with a school record time of 1:49.40 ... Earned a second place finish in the 100-yd butterfly at 50.37 ... Took sixth in the 200-yd IM with a time of 1:53.50 ... In relay action swam with the third place 800-yd freestyle (6:53.47), fourth place 200-yd medley (1:34.50), fifth place 400-yd medley (3:26.70), fifth place 400-yd freestyle squads (3:06.09).

At the ECAC Championships, competed in two A-Finals and one B-Final ... Finished sixth in the 200-yd butterfly at 1:51.45 and seventh in the 200-yd IM at 1:53.85 ... Took 14th in the 100-yd butterfly at 51.14 ... Swam with the seventh place 400-yd medley (3:26.68) 400-yd freestyle (3:07.33) and 800-yd freestyle teams (7:00.45) and eighth place 200-yd medley squad (1:34.98) in relay action.

Prior to Marist: Ruddy comes to the Red Foxes from Kingston High School in Kingston, N.Y. He swam scholastically for the Kingston varsity swim team from seventh through 10th grade. Ruddy qualified for the NY State Championships in the 100-yd. and 200-yd. freestyles, the 400-yd. freestyle relay, the 500-yd. freestyle, the 200-yd. individual medley and 50-yd. butterfly. He holds school records in 200-yd. freestyle and as a member of the 400-yd. freestyle relay team. A member of the Marist Swim Club since the spring of 2009, he qualified for the 2010 NCSA Junior Championships and the 2010 US Swimming Junior Nationals (SCY) in the 200-yd. butterfly.
