2012: MAAC All-Academic Team, Hilton Classic All-Tournament Team ... Appeared in all 28 matches, making 14 starts, for the Red Foxes... Had a team-high .934 reception percentage on 542 total attempts ... Also finished second on the team with 236 digs, third with 39 assists and fourth with 13 service aces ... Reached double digits in digs on nine different occasions ... Set a career-high with 27 digs at Rider in the regular season final on Nov. 11 ... Had 43 digs in Marist's three matches at the Hilton Classic, including 15 and 19 in the final two matches to establish personal bests both times, and was named to the All-Tournament Team.  

2011: Appeared in 26 of Marist's 28 games... Had 13 service aces, which tied for fourth on the team... Had 22 total digs for the season... Had a season-high five assists on Oct. 15 at Saint Peter's... Had three aces on Nov. 5 at Canisius... Recorded a season high eight digs on Nov. 2 at Fairfield.

Prior to Marist: Russo was a three-time Section II All Star as an interscholastic competitor at Central Catholic High School. The MVP of her conference, the Big Ten in 2010, she was an accomplished player, who has been a member of the IREVA Region High Performance team for four years. During her time with IREVA she served as the team captain the past two summers when they faced competition from youth national teams from the United States, Peru, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Russo was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10 of her class.
