Marist Director of Athletics Tim Murray announced the hiring of Roge Nesbitt to the position of head women's tennis coach in January of 2007.

Since taking over, the Red Foxes have earned the first three MAAC titles in program history. Marist was victorious in the 2007, 2008 and 2011 MAAC Championships.

In her six years, Nesbitt has coached a MAAC Player of the Year in Christine Ong in 2007, two Rookie of the Years in Cassie Strange in 2007 and Kelsey Raynor in 2010, 10 First Team All-MAAC singles competitors, nine First Team doubles teams and 22 MAAC All-Academic Team honorees, while earning two MAAC Coach of the Year awards in 2007 and 2011.

Nesbitt was a standout player at Cedarville University and later was the head girls tennis coach at Poughkeepsie's Lourdes High School.

Nesbitt led the Lourdes program from 1992-95, and was also an assistant for the boy's team. Her teaching experience also includes camp and clinic instruction at Dutchess Community College, Poughkeepsie Tennis Club and the Americana Tennis Club. Nesbitt has also taught both youth and adult private lessons.

Nesbitt also brings a wealth of playing experience to the Red Foxes, after a standout career at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. Nesbitt was Cedarville's number one singles' player in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons, and was named team captain for her senior campaign in 1988. In 1985 she was named NAIA District XXII Rookie of the Year, before being named the Region's Outstanding Senior in 1988. As a sophomore in 1986, Nesbitt competed in the NAIA National Championships in both singles and doubles. She also earned NAIA All-District Team honors three times in singles and doubles in her career.

Nesbitt, a 1988 graduate from Cedarville with a B.A. in Elementary Education, currently resides in Poughkeepsie.
