MAAC Championship Recap
In 2006, the Marist College women's rowing team won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rowing Championships at Mercer Lake. Marist's Kelly Harris was named MAAC Rowing Coach of the Year. Marist earned top honors with 192 points. Loyola College finished second with 140 points, followed by Iona College, Fairfield University and Manhattan College. After a victory at the MAAC Championship, the Marist women claimed three second-place finishes in the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four events at a meet in Massachusetts. The Red Foxes followed that event up with the ECAC Rowing Championships where the Varsity Four and Lightweight Eight boats finished second in their respective races. The Varsity Eight squad also added a strong third place finish in its event.
