MAAC Championship Recap
The Marist Women's Crew team emerged victorious at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rowing Championships, held at Mercer Lake. The Red Foxes earned their second title in as many years and eighth in program history. With 173 points, Marist edged second-place Loyola, who trailed the Red Foxes by only two. Marist took first place in four races which included the Varsity Eight, Women's Pair, Varsity Lightweight Four and Varsity Four.
Later in the season at the ECAC Metro Championships, Marist women's crew had a solid showing as they turned in a third-place finish in the grand final of the Varsity Eight race. With a finish time of 6:37.087, the Red Foxes were just 2.608 seconds behind the University of Massachusetts for second and 6.347 seconds behind Bucknell for first. The team also reached the grand final of the Second Varsity Eight, placing sixth. This event capped off a very successful season for women’s crew.
