MAAC Championship Recap
Marist dominated the competition at the 1998 MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships. The men’s team won by 215 points over Rider with a total of 1119 points. Loyola followed in third place with 732 points by beating Niagara, Iona, St. Peter’s, and Fairfield. Marist’s Dave Dobbins was named the championship’s Most Outstanding Swimmer and Chris Blackwell was named the Most Outstanding Diver. This was Marist’s third MAAC Men’s Swimming and Diving title.
