Marks teamed with Sessagesimi for an 8-2 second doubles win in which they scored the first six points of the match.

Coley got the win in first singles over Berthod. He won the first five points of the first set to take the momentum, but Berthod battled back to pull within one. Coley was able to serve for the final point, took back the momentum, and dominated the rest of the match; the score was 6-4, 6-0. Sessagesimi had no trouble in his second singles match with Ferronte. He took control from the start, and executed a perfect game plan in which he applied pressure on every point. He won 6-2, 6-0 and finished an outstanding 3-0 weekend in the tournament.

In third singles, von Nordheim won a thriller in three sets over George Laffey. The rookie won 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-4. The two players were relatively evenly matched and showed no quit throughout.
