Maker, the spouse of current Marist men’s basketball head coach Mike Maker, joins Marist after volunteering at Vassar College with the men’s and women’s track teams in 2016.

A 2004 graduate of St. Olaf College, Maker competed in cross country for four years as well as in the 5k and 10k events in track and field. After graduation she moved on to Northwestern University where she completed graduate course work in Sports Administration while also serving as an assistant coach for the women’s cross country team.

Maker then served as assistant coach for the cross country and track teams at Williams College 2007-09, 2010-14 and Trinity University 2009-10.

During her time at Williams, the Ephs qualified for nationals in cross country each year and had a dual third place finish for both the men’s and women’s teams in 2008 as well as four other top five finishes for the women. She coached 10 athletes to All-American accolades in cross country and several more in track and also coached the 2009 10k national champion.

While at Trinity, Maker coach the 2010 runner up in the men’s distance medley relay, the first All-American relay team in school history and had a combined seven All-Americans in women’s cross country and men’s and women’s track during her one season.
