Billy Creed is in his first season on the Marist coaching staff in 2016. He will assist defensive coordinator Scott Rumsey in coaching the team’s safeties.

Creed spent last season at Lycoming, where he served as defensive backs coach. He worked for the Franklin Pierce sprint football team from 2012-14. He was secondary coach in 2014, and helped two players earn Honorable Mention All-Conference honors. For the two previous seasons as a graduate assistant, he served as running backs coach, assistant recruiting coordinator, and video coordinator. In 2013, Franklin Pierce posted its best record in program history at 5-2.

Creed also spent one season apiece as an assistant with two high school programs: Eastport South Manor and Byram Hills.

From 2006-07, Creed played wide receiver at SUNY Cortland. He then served as the program’s assistant wide receivers coach from 2008-10 while completing his degree. Creed also has playing experience with the New York Demon Knights in the Five Star Football League (four seasons) and the New Hampshire Wolfpack of the New Hampshire Football League (two seasons).

Creed earned a B.S. in Education from SUNY Cortland in 2010 and a Master’s of Curriculum and Instruction from Franklin Pierce in 2014.
