Coach Maker on Dozic: “We are very excited to announce the addition of Aleks to Marist and our basketball program. He has a unique skill set for a player of his size and is an ideal fit for our system. Aleks possesses a high basketball IQ, can shoot with range, and puts the ball on the floor very well for a frontcourt player. Most importantly, Aleks is a quality student, a wonderful teammate, and a great person.”
Dave Maravilla is the athletic director and assistant coach at Don Bosco Prep. He lauds Dozic’s feel for the game and believes he will succeed at Marist.
“He has a high basketball IQ and a great feel for making the right play,” Maravilla said. “To be a starter on his national team speaks volumes about his ability to play at a high level. [Marist] is getting a guy who’s going to step in and be an impact player.”
