MAAC Championship Recap
Marist set a new regular season record for wins in 2002 with 30 and the Red Foxes swept through the MAAC Tournament winning the conference championship as well as earning its second trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Red Foxes had two All-America nominees in Bocchino (.404 batting average and 90 hits) and freshman Kevin Ool (6-4, 2.42 ERA). Marist finished with a then program-best 33-19-2 record.

NCAA Championship Recap
The Red Foxes reached new heights in success while the team competed in the NCAA Tournament in Lafayette, Louisiana. It notched the program's first NCAA Tournament victory with a 6-5 win over McNesse State and took top-seeded East Carolina to 11 innings before they fell 8-7. Senior catcher Anthony Ambrosini and sophomore Anthony Bocchino were both named to the All-Regional Team.
