Jason Sacher will enter his third season and second tenure as the head coach of the Marist women's tennis team. After coaching the Red Foxes for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, Sacher returns to the program after a brief coaching stint with Cornell.
Sacher first joined the Marist tennis coaching staff in August, 2013 and served as the interim women's head coach for the 2014 season alongside his responsibilities as an assistant coach for the men's tennis team.
In his first season at the helm, Sacher led the Red Foxes to a 6-10 overall record with a 5-3 mark in the MAAC. Marist earned the fourth seed for the MAAC Tournament. Sacher coached Marielle Campbell to an All-MAAC Second Team selection at fourth singles and five MAAC All-Academic student-athletes: Campbell, Kaye Eastman, Nikki Rohan, Sabrina Tahir, and Lisa Ventimiglia. Additionally, Sacher coached former #1 singles player, Karly Pang, to an undefeated season which earned her MAAC Player of the Year honors in the spring of 2015.
Sacher is a 2011 graduate of NYU where he played both #1 singles and #1 doubles for the Violets' men's tennis team. He graduated with a BS in Sports Management.
After graduating, Sacher spent time working in finance at Morgan Stanley and then two years coaching top nationally-ranked junior players in the New York area, before joining the Red foxes as an assistant for the men's and women's tennis teams in August of 2013.
As a junior player, Sacher was ranked in the top-10 in the eastern section throughout multiple age groups and was ranked as high as top 100 nationally.
