The Marist water polo team continues Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play with two games at home on Saturday. The Red Foxes will play VMI at 10:30 a.m. and La Salle at 4:00 p.m. Prior to the La Salle game, the team's three seniors will be recognized in a Senior Day ceremony. Sunday the Red Foxes will travel to Loundville, New York to take on MAAC rival Iona. The contest is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.
Red Foxes Split vs Wagner & Villanova, Amorosa Move into 3rd All-Time in Assists
Following the most successful non-conference schedule since 2013, the Marist water polo team opens Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at Villanova University on Saturday. The Red Foxes will play the Wagner College Seahawks (9 AM) and the Villanova University Wildcats (2:30 PM).
With the win, the Red Foxes stand at 8-10 and wrap up the non-conference portion of their 2017 schedule with the program's best non-conference record since 2012-13.
The Marist water polo team wrapped up its final non-conference tournament with a 19-1 loss to the #2 Stanford University Cardinal. With the loss, the Red Foxes stand at 7-10 on the season.
In its last non-conference tournament of the year, the #23 Marist water polo team went 1-1 to open the Arizona State Invitational, beating the La Verne Leopards 10-5 before falling to the #7 Arizona State Sun Devils 15-6 on Saturday.
Three games at the Arizona State Invitational, marks the final weekend of non-conference play for the Marist water polo team. The #23 Red Foxes will play the University of La Verne Leopards (12 PM) and the host #7 Arizona State Sun Devils (7 PM) on Saturday before taking on the #1 Stanford Cardinal on Sunday (12 PM).
The Red Foxes beat the Brown Bears 8-7 but fell to the #11 Princeton Tigers 8-5 and #19 Harvard Crimson 10-9.
After roughly three weeks off from competition, the #T-23 Marist water polo team returns to action at the Harvard Invitation. The Red Foxes will square off on Saturday against the Brown Bears (8:45 AM), #11 Princeton Tigers (12:30 PM) and #19 Harvard Crimson (8 PM) followed by the University of Toronto Varsity Blues (11:45 AM) on Sunday.
The Marist water polo team is ranked nationally for the fifth straight week as they are #23 in the latest CWPA Poll.
