For the second straight year the Marist volleyball team will hold a free clinic in honor of National Girls and Women In Sports Day on Feb. 1. 50 spots are available on a first come, first serve basis.
The no. 2 Marist volleyball team ended its 2016 season 13-17 overall (12-6 MAAC) after a 3-1 loss to no. 3 Quinnipiac in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship semifinal Nov. 19.
After earning the no. 2 seed in the 2016 MAAC Championships, the Marist volleyball team has earned a first round bye and will play either Quinnipiac or Niagara in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Nov. 19.
Megan Fergus was the MAAC Rookie of the Year while Lexi Millington earned Co-Libero of the Year honors along with Niagara junior Rylee Hunt.
The Marist volleyball team finished the regular season 13-16 overall and 12-6 in MAAC play after a 3-0 loss at Rider. The Broncs won each set 25-21.
For the second straight season, Marist earned the no. 2 seed in the MAAC Championships after shutting out Saint Peter's on Nov. 12 in the penultimate match of the 2016 regular season.
As the regular season concludes, the Marist volleyball team (12-15, 11-5 MAAC) needs one more win to clinch second place and a first round bye in the MAAC Championships.
On Senior Day in McCann Arena, the Marist volleyball team moved into second place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with a 3-0 victory (25-15, 25-16, 28-26) over Iona.
The Marist volleyball team fell to Manhattan in straight sets (25-14, 25-17, 26-24) on Nov. 3 in McCann Arena.
On their quest for second place in the MAAC, the Red Foxes will square off against Manhattan and Iona.
For the fourth time this season, Marist volleyball freshman Megan Fergus was named MAAC Rookie of the Week after guiding the Red Foxes to a berth in the 2016 conference championships.
The Marist volleyball team erased a 1-0 deficit and held on to beat Canisius 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 28-26, 25-15) to clinch a spot in the MAAC Tournament for the fourth straight season.
