he Marist women's cross country team finished off the 2016 season with a second place finish out of 18 teams at the ECAC Championship held at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday. The Red Foxes finished with 109 points, one point shy of first place Monmouth University.
The Marist women's cross country team placed 25th out of 40 teams at the 2016 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday morning. The Red Foxes finished with a total of 696 points on the day.
The Marist men's and women's cross country teams are back in action at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, Nov. 10th. The women will run a 6k race at 11 a.m. while the men will run a 10k race at noon.
The Marist women's cross country team placed sixth overall at the 2016 MAAC Championship held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday morning. The Red Foxes finished with 140 points overall.
The Marist men's and women's cross country teams will be competing in the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct 29. The races will be held at Hess Fields at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The men will begin at 8 a.m. while the women are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. The championship is returning to Florida for the first time since 2012.
With the team splitting up into two groups for the Princeton and Albany Invitationals, the Red Foxes came home with a ninth place finish out of 22 teams in New Jersey and eighth place finish out of nine teams in Albany.
Half of the Marist men's and women's cross country team will travel to Princeton, NJ for the Princeton Invitational while the other half travel to Albany, NY for the Albany Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15.
A week after the Marist women's cross country team set two program records at the Ted Owen Invitation, the team set two more program records at the Paul Short Run on Saturday. The Red Foxes placed 32nd out of 45 teams in the race. Marist set records for the most women finishing under under 23 minutes (12) and the most women finishing under 24 minutes (21) in a 6K race.

The Marist women's cross country team set two program records and finished second overall at the Ted Owen Invitational at Central Connecticut State University on Saturday morning. The Red Foxes set records for the number of runners who finished under 20 minutes (20) as well as the number of runners who finished under 19 minutes (seven). Marist also had the fastest top five average at the meet in school history
