WORCESTER, Mass. – The Marist men's crew program competed in the ECAC National Invitational Collegiate Regatta on Sunday, placing seventh overall out of a field of 20 men's teams. The Red Foxes entered into three events on the day, racing in the Grand Final in all three.
The Varsity Eight boat took fifth in its race, crossing the finish line in 6:01.523, just .229 seconds ahead of the squad from Bates.
The Second Varsity Eight also placed fifth in its Grand Final race, finishing in 6:20.463. The Red Foxes were 13 seconds ahead of the next fasted boat, from Boston College, and just three seconds out of third place.
The Third Varsity Eight squad finished its race in 6:42.438, good for sixth place in its Grand Final event. The Marist boat was just five seconds out of fifth place, trailing the boat from Bates.
