NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Competing in its final meet prior to next weekend's MAAC Championships, a partial Marist women's cross country squad ran at the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday. The meet took place in a downpour, which left the course in soggy conditions with standing water in spots.
Freshman Nicki Nesi, who ran the 3,000-meter course in a personal-best time of 11:10.11, was the Red Foxes' top finisher at 41st overall. As a team, the Red Foxes came in 10th.
The MAAC Championships will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 in Orlando, Fla.
