STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Marist women's cross country team ran in the Stony Brook "Wolfie" Invitational on Saturday. The Red Foxes competed against Providence, ranked #7 nationally and #1 in the Northeast, and Stony Brook, ranked #10 in the Northeast. Sophomore Michelle Gaye (Greenlawn, N.Y.)  led the Red Foxes on the 5,050-meter course with a seventh-place finish in 18:41.85. A total of three Marist runners place in the top 15, as Gaye was joined by freshman Kristen Traub (Wayne, N.J.) in ninth and senior Katie Messina (Queensbury, N.Y.) in 11^th.

The Red Foxes will return to action next Saturday at the Ted Owen Invitational, which will be hosted by Central Connecticut State in New Britain, Conn.
